General Description
The SST-400 is a handheld tester designed to test surge suppressors that are used in traffic signal cabinets. The tester delivers a ramped output current to 1mA DC to determine the clamping voltage of the suppressor. The operating manual contains detailed test descriptions for the most commonly used suppressors and provides acceptance ranges to be compared to the reading provided by the tester.
