The ILA-550 is a handheld tester designed to troubleshoot various parameters of an inductive loop.  The tester measures Frequency and relative signal strength of a loop network connected to an active detector with a probe suspended over the loop or when connected to the loop terminals.  Also measures loop Inductance, Resistance, and Q of a loop with no detector connected.  It is even capable of measuring the change of inductance caused when a vehicle drives over the loop and remembers the greatest change encountered.
